    Bio: Malia and Makana are a mother-daughter team. They are both Core Power Yoga instructors and also teach ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian Language). Makana is a high school teacher and Malia is a middle school teacher. Although Malia now teaches art, she was a Hawaiian immersion, Māori immersion, and Hawaiian language teacher in her long career of classroom teaming. At CPY Makana teaches C2, C3 and CR while Malia is currently on the schedule for her favorite platform: Yoga Sculpt Class Description: Celebrate February: Hawaiian Language Month with Malia and Makana on February 26th from 6:30-7:45pm. Join us for a 75 minute flow inspired by Hawaiian language and the cultural similarities of yoga to Hawaiian culture. Our SPRING Yoga Teacher Training consists of 11 training weekends between March 9th​ and May 19th, 2019. In addition, students are required to attend a study session on Wednesday evenings and take 1 studio yoga class per week with our instructor. Students are responsible for their own, housing, food and transportation needs for the duration of the training. HYI offers our 200HR training in this weekends format only once each calendar year.
