    Island: Kauai

Since the days of the ancient yogīs, this mantra has been incanted daily by millions of souls. It is a prayer to the “light beyond the light” to illumine all the worlds. In this mantra, there is no deity, no force of nature which is called upon… the words are a poetic offering to the transcendent supreme light alone. Anyone, from any religion, can chant this mantra with a sincere heart! On a personal level, it produces a powerfully clear, pure vibration which… …gracefully sweeps away the debris that clouds your true Self. …intensifies the inner voice. …awakens intelligence, discrimination, and the capacity for deep insight. …transforms the practitioner into a beacon of light for his/her community. On a global level, it produces a radiance of peace which is said to… …contribute to the peaceful resolution of conflicts on a subconscious level. …strengthen the vibratory connection between the earthly and the heavenly realms. …promote peace, harmony, abundance, and the welfare of all beings. From Anandra personally: This mantra is very near to my heart, as it is to anyone with even an inkling of connection to the great Yogic culture and philosophy… The short form was the very first mantra I was initiated into during my first pilgrimage to India in 1997. Since then, I learned the proper letter-by-letter Sanskrit pronunciation and started practicing the full long form. It has transformed from being a mantra for dedicated repetition to seek illumination to being a mantra that joyously declares the overwhelming fullness! No doubt, both the refinement of pronunciation and the many years of repetition have revealed some glimpse of this mantra’s potency… but I sense that oh-so-much-more awaits! I am deeply honored to share whatever I can, and I pray that my words will help your own connection to this read more

    TRX Yoga Conditioning

Intro to TRX Yoga Conditioning is highly recommended prior to attending this class. Ready to stretch and strengthen? This combined discipline blends the core stabilization and strength enhancement of TRX with the flexibility and awareness of yoga. The suspension element of TRX conditions your whole body as a single coordinated system, rather than working to shape isolated muscles. This practice originates from your core! You cultivate balance, coordination and all-over fitness. Adding a vertical dimension by suspending part of your body, allows you to easily modify the intensity of your movements. You vary the load according to your body position. Your instructor helps you to either tone down or escalate the moves to meet YOUR needs. TRX Yoga Conditioning is designed to enhance conditioning for those who have already gained some core awareness and strength – whether through Pilates and/or plank type movements in yoga or other fitness and athletic disciplines. This class is great for cross-training and can also help train you for success in aerial classes!

  • Red Tent Women’s Gathering: Blessing the Pathways with Kumu Mālia Helelā

    Island: Oahu

    Honolulu

    United States

$15.00 On this night of the Mauli (last sliver) moon in the Hawaiian tradition, we honor the pathways that have brought each of us to the present moment. We acknowledge that all our life experiences serve the greater purpose of helping us define our individual values and our soul purpose. Doing so ultimately grants us the wisdom to choose our best path forward. The feminine side of our nature has a tendency to help others, so this can be an opportunity for us as women to look inward and reflect on choices we can make for our own evolution. In this Red Tent, we move from early experiences that shape us as women, to a picture of how we are living our lives in the present and on to building a future vision for where we want to grow towards. We conclude with a ceremony blessing the pathways, past…present…and future. ♥ ♥ ♥ Bring your favorite vegetarian disk for potluck! Please be on time as the doors will lock! ♥ ♥ ♥ We gather to give and receive support, to share stillness, movement, laughter, tenderness and food. In our fast-paced society the Red Tent provides a place for us to slow down and connect, talk story and nourish things specifically female. In the Red Tent, we celebrate our experience in a female body. We give our spirits space to breathe and expand, and we share stories that only other women can understand. It’s a place of safety, rest, rejuvenation and rejoicing. The Red Tent is a space open to all of us, where we are free to be exactly who and how we are right now. “Each time women gather in this way to support, celebrate and strengthen each other, the world heals a little bit.” – Matilda Videgârd
