2 day Ayurveda Advanced Teacher Training Module at Yoga Hawaii this weekend. $450 for the weekend.
Delve deep into the principles of Āyurveda over the weekend of January 13th and 14th with Elizabeth Morris, RYT. We will begin with an introduction into Ayurveda, the 3 doshas of vata, pitta, and kapha, as well as the 20 gunas or qualities we use to prevent disease process. We will also discuss ojas, tejas, and prana and focus on how to create our own vata, pitta, kapha yoga āsana sequences both to balance individual constitution and for the seasonal changes of fall, winter, spring, and summer. Come with any questions you might have about Āyurveda and an open mind! Open to beginners as well as those who have had an introduction to Āyurveda. Option to take just the first two hours of the training (10 am- noon on February 13th) if you would just like an introduction to Āyurveda.
Elizabeth Morris graduated from Harvard Divinity School with a Masters in Divinity (M.Div.) focusing on Āyurveda principles for childbearing women. Prior to Harvard, she spent two years studying at the Ayurvedic institute in Albuquerque, NM with Dr. Vasant Lad and in Kerala, India to learn how to provide Ayurvedic consultations and Ayuryoga sequences that foster balance and promote health and longevity for individuals and groups. She has been serving women and their families in private practice for over 10 years.
